A Return to Western Roots
This collection was inspired by the designer's Western Roots. Growing up in Utah, she was exposed to cowboy attire adorned with suede fringe, cowboy boots, engraved leather saddles, turquoise, and more. That culture is something that took leaving and coming to a large city to really appreciate looking back. She curated a fusion between modern day, high-end luxury fashion and these western roots by use of western embossed vegan leather and silk fringe.
The curves of the silhouettes of the skirts and corsets symbolize the curves of a saddle. While, in contrast, the exaggerated feminine silhouettes of the corset, for example, and the pleated detailing ties back to the designers reoccurring aesthetic inspiration being pulled from the French Rococo era. This source of inspiration is a bit of a staple of our aesthetic. The regal luxury, the corsetry and silhouettes of this era will always serve as a base inspiration for our designs. The fringe and the corsetry are two elements that tie both the rococo era of design and the cowgirl style together. The marriage of the two aesthetics is what we hope to portray to the viewer with this collection.
